Procmail occurs as mail delivery agent (MDA) or mail filter, a program to run incoming emails in the computer, widely utilized on Unix systems. These are generally invoked from either an MTA like Sendmail; this makes a mailprocessing event-caused. A companion-convienence formail allows procmail to exist as utilized around load-processing in mail that already is in your systems mailbox.
